Legal compliance doesn’t stop once tenants move in. Landlords must continue to:
- Carry out repairs in a timely fashion: Failure can breach the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act.
- Conduct periodic inspections: Give at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Respect tenant privacy: Illegal entry can amount to harassment.
Protect tenant data under GDPR: Store personal information securely and only use it lawfully.
